Liberland is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Rust developer or organisation specializing in Rust development to support our ongoing software and blockchain projects.
This long-term strategic collaboration will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing blockchain-based solutions and other software projects critical to Liberland’s innovative and sovereignty-focused mission.
We are looking for a developer or organization with a proven track record in delivering secure, efficient, and scalable Rust-based applications, especially using Substrate and with the use case of blockchain. A good knowledge of the blockchain space is a must.
Solidity knowledge is a great plus, we will be implementing Solidity contracts into a Substrate-based chain.
The selected candidate(s) must specialize in execution — writing high-quality code, deploying secure solutions, and achieving measurable technical milestones. The emphasis is on creating practical, reliable solutions through expertise in Rust.
Scope of Work:
The chosen developer or organization will be responsible for:
- Developing, testing, and maintaining Rust-based software solutions, including blockchain applications.
- Delivering optimized, secure, and scalable code aligned with Liberland’s project goals.
- Proactively identifying and resolving performance and security issues within the software.
- Collaborating with other stakeholders to integrate solutions into broader IT systems.
Required Qualifications:
We are seeking an individual or organization that meets the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Rust development, with proven success in delivering Rust-based software projects.
- Expertise in blockchain development and cryptography, with demonstrable experience in delivering secure blockchain solutions.
- Experience with performance-critical and memory-safe applications.
- Familiarity with accessibility, scalability, and system security principles in Rust.
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and achieve project milestones independently.
Additional advantages:
- Open-source contributions in Rust or blockchain projects.
- Experience integrating Rust solutions into multi-language environments (e.g., working with .NET, Angular, or SQL).
- Strong background in developing decentralized systems or smart contracts.
- ETH/Solidity ecosystem familiarity.
